Much of Hawthorne’s writing centers on NewEngland, many works featuring moral metaphors with an anti-Puritan inspiration.I want to focus on his theme which center on the inherent evil and sin ofhumanity based on some of his works like TheScarlet Letter, Young Good Man Brown and The House of Seven Gables. Hiswork often have moral massage and deep psychological complexity. This paperwill mainly explore this aspect.
