Abstract

The double wishbone suspension is used as the rear suspension of the Haval H6 SUV. Since the double wishbone independent suspension has a different construction from the conventional suspension, it can improve the handling stability and comfort of the car, so it is widely used in the suspension layout of modern cars, and it is also a kind of advanced suspension form.

In this graduation design project, the basic parameters and positioning parameters of the double wishbone independent suspension will be designed first, and then the parameters of the various components of the steering mechanism of the suspension are analyzed and calculated according to the design experience and the design formula. Also according to the basic parameters of the suspension, these design parameters are checked and modified. After completing the parametric design of all parts, Catia will be used to model three-dimensional modeling of the suspension and get the overall assemble of the system. Finally, by using the simulink module of Matlab, I build a two-degree-of-freedom vibration system model of the car, then input the basic parameters of the designed suspension to verify the reliability and comfort of the suspension.

Chapter 1 Introduction

1.1 Background of Research

As one of the most important products of the industrial revolution, the automobile plays a very important role in people's life and process of the production. The development of the automotive industry has witnessed the continuous development of the automobile in terms of structure, shape and components. Nowadays, with the development of the economy and the transformation of the way of life style, the concept of the car has gone far beyond the primitive means of “transportation”. While pursuing the performance of automobiles, people also put forward more requirements on vehicles such as the smoothness, operational stability and comfort of driving. The automobile suspension which known as the general term for all force transmission and connection devices between the frame and the axle, can transmit reaction forces acting on the wheels in various directions and the counter-torque caused by these reaction forces to the frame. Thus ensure the smooth driving of the car. Therefore, the study and improvement of the suspension is also an important aspect of the modern automobile research.

1.2 The purpose and content of the graduate design

The object of this paper is the double wishbone rear suspension of Haval H6 SUV Haval H6 car, which known as the urban SUV, is loved by the majority of the consumers because of its subversion of the previous several models off-road design style and high cost performance, driving performance. Therefore, this paper analyzes the automobile structure of the Haval H6 SUV and the basic parameters as well as some important components of the rear suspension to verify the feasibility, simplify the suspension system, use CAD software to perform basic modeling and Part drawing. Through some relevant CAE method to finish optimal analysis. By the above steps, achieve the aim of optimizing the design of Haval H6 SUV.
