1. Introduction

At present, following the trends of economical globalization and the personnel exchange internationalization, we begin to come to contact with different culture concept and behavior. The resulting cultural misunderstanding and behavioral differences largely affect the personnel exchanges and cooperation between different cultures. In view of the problems in the new era, it is important to improve the ability of cross-cultural understanding to perceive the different culture.

Culture background permeates sorts of cultural factors. Since different culture occupy different orientation, obvious differences exist in values, thinking mode, social regulation and life style. People#8217;s actions and speech are a mirror of a particular social group values.

1.1 Research background

Among the many cultural factors, values are the main elements, with its persistence and stability, which is the that people#8217;s reflection of their social existence, and it is generally accepted as the faith by social member. Many differences exist in history, geography, customs, religion, science and technology in China and Western countries, accordingly it affects values a lot. And now the world is like a land global village, people from all over the world promote the interacting conversation, So it is quite urgent and vital in order to know the difference between the Chinese and western values in order to avoid misunderstanding communicate better and more effective.

Since values are the desired characteristics or goals of a culture, a culture#8217;s values do not necessarily describe its actual behaviors and characteristics. Values are often offered as the explanation for the way in which people communicate. People get their value system imperceptibly, and then influenced by the system on their belief, mindset,behavior, livelihood. The system becomes the cornerstone of national character. As YeJin (1997) mentioned: in America, meaning of the word Value is manifold, it refers to a person#8217;s attitude, also his belief and hobby, aspiration and pursuit, wish and fear, pride and prejudice, however, no matter how complex and contradictory a person#8217;s value is, all of them will be displayed in the way of life inevitably. In China, although traditional values did not form a system theory, rigorous and irresistible values has been taken root in mind. Hall thought culture could be regarded as iceberg, and the value was located in the bottom of the iceberg. So we can concluded that the differences on the cultural values between Chinese and Western are based on the certain social environment. Specific value differences can be found in the movie called the Antman, through analyzing these cultural phenomenons, it can help us have a better known of intercultural communication.
