thecar has become the most important vehicle tool for people, and has made greatprogress on the advancement of the human since the first car appeared. theproduce and sale amount of the car increased sharply over the last 20 yearswith the development of global car industry, and it also brought some badinfluences, such as the pollution of environment and the cost of energy. thedemand for petroleum resources from traditional automobiles also has anincreasingly greater impact on the ecological environment. more importantly,the carbon dioxide from the exhaust produced by car has great impact in thegreenhouse effect and global warming. the nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide,unburned hydrocarbons and particulate emissions and other harmful substancesfrom car exhaust produced by car also have some bad impact on the ecologicalenvironment. automobiles emit more than 200 million tons of harmful gases everyyear, accounting for about 60% of the total amount of air pollution, and arerecognized as the first killer of atmospheric pollution. many countries have putforward a series of stringent emission regulations to require automakers to tryto reduce vehicle emissions and develop pollution-free and ultra-low-pollutionvehicles. the pressure from the energy problem and environment pollution letmany countries in the world try their best to find new vehicle equipment toreplace the traditional automobiles.
