Miao nationality is a time-honored one in Guizhou, Guangxi, Sichuan province in China, etc. And its customs is the key to enjoy good reputation in the world nationalities. At present, the national customs communication between countries has been becoming momentous under the development of the Belt and Road, meanwhile, the translation of national customs comes to the first. For the past few years, Guizhou government has took and will continue to take great efforts to develop tourism, but the miao customs translation, which is the most representative nationality in Guizhou province, remains serious shortcomings, such like translation mistakes and no systematic standards and norms. To a large extent, it impedes the national cultural communication and development. This paper is innovative, for I am miao nationality in Guizhou province, having a all-around command of its customs culture and being qualified for its research. The primary focus of this paper is to do some researches on miao customs translation in Guizhou province and to raise awareness of its significance in terms of translation theories, translation strategies and methodologies for outer publicity of miao customs translation.
