Idiom is the carrier of culture, it is the essence of language, it has a strong national color and distinct cultural connotations.Therefore, the translation of idioms in the leaders ' speeches is not only the conversion between two languages and two cultures , but also the communication of the idea of will. Proper translation of idioms can greatly promote the communication between the two sides. Through the analysis of idioms in leaders ' speeches and the analysis of cultural factors which influence idiom translation, this paper briefly sums up the translation strategies of idioms in speeches.
