Before I wrote this paper, I#8217;ve read some works on this subject both at home and abroad, which can be found in the library and on the Internet. And then I#8217;ll make a careful research into them by using comparison and analysis based on the material I#8217;ve collected. In this way, I intend to discuss how cultural differences influence the view of marriage of American and Chinese, analyze the reason for its existence and point out that it is necessary to know the view of marriage which most Chinese lead now. I will also provide abundant examples to support my arguments and make them easier to understand. With my hard working and my tutor#8217;s kind and valuable help, I#8217;m confident that I can finish this paper with desire results.

This subject requires knowledge of marriage in Chinese and American Culture, also needs the understanding of previous study of this subject both in home and broad. Then on the basis, sum up the appropriate summary and comments by a comparative study on culture backgrounds, and explore their similarities and differences.
