The Life and Strange Surprising Adventure of Robinson Crusoe is an adventure novel written by Daniel Defoe. The story is about Robinson's survival on a desert island where Robinson saves a captive and names him Friday. This paper makes a comparative analysis of the different reactions of Friday in face of Robinson's cultural colonization between the novel and the film, and combines the analysis results with the attitudes our country should have in cross-cultural communication.
