Existentialism is one school of philosophy which centers on humans’ freedom and individuality. And William Faulkner often shows his concern about personality and the ultimate trend of humans. So the paper aims to have a further exploration of the women characters in Light in August from the perspective of Existentialism. The perspective is new and original. After analyzing the women characters, the readers are supposed to have a further understanding on this novel.
