jane austen (1775-1817) was one of the most widely read and most beloved writers in english literature and one of the most influential women writers in the history of world literature. rrank oconnor (2012) holds that austen is one of the greatest novelists, and thomas macauley (1996) calls her shakespeare. austen#8217;s works often mock at people, stupid, selfish, snobbish, blindly confident and of other ridiculous weakness through the comic scenes. the most famous works are pride and prejudice, sense and sensibility, etc.

female consciousness means women can live a happy life by themselves.it is unnecessary for us to rely on men or other social powers.as a modern woman in today's society,it is important for us to learn from elizabeth.firstly,as a saying goes,knowledge can change fate.with the rapid development of the society,we have no choice but to acquire much knowledge,which is the foundation of our advancement,so that we will not be eliminated by the unpredictable society.secondly,as we all know,there are many unfair rules around us,such as,you are women that you cannot do this job.you are women that you shouldn't have dinner with men in one table.you are women that you represent the wake side,etc.we know that we don't have abilities to change people's notions in their mind.however,what we can do is that we are capable of overcoming our own shortcomings to improve ourselves and demonstrating that we are as equal as men.last but not least,we shouldn't be lost in the process of pursuing love.in today's materialistic society, it is important for us to keep independent.and we shouldn't be controlled by money.when choosing marriage,we cannot put the money in the first place.we must understand that we are able to work to support ourselves,rather than relying on our husbands.
